Yogurt 1 cup
Lemon juice 2 tablespoons
Garlic cloves, minced 4
Ground cumin 1 teaspoon
Ground coriander 1 teaspoon
Turmeric 1/2 teaspoon
Olive oil 2 tablespoons
Salt 1 teaspoon
Black pepper 1/2 teaspoon
Pita bread 4
Tomatoes, sliced 2
Cucumbers, sliced 2
Red onion, sliced 1
Tahini sauce 1/2 cup
Fresh parsley, chopped 1/4 cup

Cooking Instructions:

  • Step 1: In a bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander, turmeric, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken breasts to the bowl and coat them well with the marinade. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  • Step 2: Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove the chicken breasts from the marinade and discard any excess marinade. Grill the chicken breasts for 6-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through and nicely charred. Remove from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
  • Step 3: While the chicken breasts are resting, warm the pita bread on the grill or in a toaster. Slice the chicken breasts into thin strips. Place the sliced chicken on the warm pita bread and top with sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, and red onion. Drizzle with tahini sauce and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
