Creamy Mushroom and Spinach Pasta

About

Lasagna is a popular Italian dish that has gained worldwide recognition. It is a type of pasta made with thin layers of pasta sheets, also known as lasagna sheets, stacked together with various ingredients. The dish typically consists of alternating layers of pasta, tomato sauce, cheese, and meat or vegetables.

The origins of lasagna can be traced back to ancient Greece, where the dish was known as laganon. The recipe then made its way to Italy during the Middle Ages, and it has evolved over time to become the lasagna we know today. Although there are countless variations of lasagna, the traditional Italian version commonly includes ingredients such as ground meat, such as beef or pork, ricotta or bechamel sauce, mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan cheese. Herbs like oregano and basil are often used to enhance the flavors.

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a 9x13-inch baking dish, spread a layer of the meat sauce.
  • Arrange a single layer of lasagna noodles over the sauce.
  • Spread a layer of the ricotta mixture over the noodles.
  • Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, ending with a layer of sauce on top.
  • Sprinkle remaining grated Parmesan cheese on top.

Step 5:

  • Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 25 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Step 6:
